Older refugees may not access health services if their cultural and religious needs are not met. This might range from issues of food and dietary needs, to a lack of knowledge and respect for religious beliefs and practices.
Different communities may also have different views of health and well-being, and find that their own views of complementary medicine or a holistic approach to health needs are not seen as important or relevant.
